Description
2011 Santa Barbara County Grenache
2011 was a cool vintage with a long, steady growing season that lead to a later-than-usual harvest. The wines from this vintage tend to have slightly higher acidity, lower alcohol, and a very forward, exuberant fruitiness. This Grenache comes from the Colson Canyon and Camp 4 vineyards. It resonates with bright strawberry and red plum notes balanced by deeper notes of black cherry, pepper, spice and licorice. This wine shows brightness and purity as wells as a full body, rounded mouthfeel and long, lush finish. Pair this food-friendly Grenache with everything from salmon to chicken to beef. Enjoy it now or over the next 3 to 5 years.
