2012 Lea Buona Terra Vineyard Pinot Noir

This is this first vineyard-designated Pinot Noir we have produced from the Buona Terra Vineyard and we are very excited with the results. This section of Buona Terra, like our sections at the Turner and Moormann vineyards, is planted entirely to the renowned Pommard clone. It should be a fascinating vintage to compare these three wines which are the same clone and made exactly alike. Their only difference is their terroir. The Buona Terra is brimming with flavors of pomegranate, wild berry and and raspberry with a silky, rounded mouthfeel and chewy tannins. Buona Terra is in quite a cool location lending the wine hints of spice and black and white pepper. Drink now or age this wine for 5 to 7 years.
