2012 Tierra Alta Vineyard Syrah

Planted to the 99 Syrah clone from the Chateauneuf du Pape region of France, our section of the Tierra Alta vineyard is windy and steep – ideal growing conditions for producing a solid Syrah. Year after year this vineyard delivers an elegant, supple Syrah that is fruit-forward and slightly jammy yet also floral with great minerality and elegance. We enjoy this wine’s great versatility and pair it with everything from heartier beef dishes to chicken or salmon. The Tierra Alta is already approachable in its youth but should mature nicely over the next 8 years.
