2013 Thompson Vineyard Syrah

While we are proud of every vintage of this serious, structured Syrah, this year’s Thompson makes a particularly impressive statement with some of the most extracted fruit characteristics it has offered to date. Deep, dark notes of blackberries and currants are balanced by the bright streak of acidity and red fruits that Thompson never fails to offer. Chewy tannins and a long finish round out this well-balanced wine. Thompson is always a wine for aging and we think this one will evolve nicely over the next ten years.
