2014 Lea Tierra Alta Rosé

The 2014 Lea Tierra Alta Rosé is one of the freshest, brightest Rosés Jennifer has ever bottled. It also shows great color and concentration thanks to the early but very intense 2014 harvest. As with past vintages, Jennifer and Oliver stomped the grapes for this wine by foot. But unlike past vintages, all of the juice was pressed off of the skins within a few hours. Usually, half of the juice remains on the skins overnight, but with this dry, hot, intense vintage, the wine achieved the desired extraction much more quickly. This Rosé retains the silky texture and rounded mouthfeel that have become signature qualities of Lea Rosés. It also shows notes of strawberries and guava as well as an enticing floral nose. This wine is absolutely dry and pairs beautifully with Mexican food, spicy Asian dishes and sushi. Enjoy this Rosé now or age it over the next two years.
