Our parcel within this volcanic ash based vineyard comes from a steep hillside planted entirely to the 99 Syrah clone. This clone is known for its enticing nuances of minerals and earth, and you can certainly taste them in this bottling. The 2014 vintage is one of our most extracted yet, and this Tierra Alta shows a dark ruby hue and aromas of coffee, flowers and chocolate. It’s intense and full-bodied yet its finish is long and elegant. Drink this wine now or let it evolve over the next ten years.
