Description

2017 Turner Vineyard Syrah (91-93 Jeb Dunnuck)

Located in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation of Santa Barbara County, the Turner Vineyard consistently offers up the best the appellation has to offer. From the very first time we harvested this vineyard back in 2005 this fruit has impressed us with its freshness and finesse. Sta. Rita Hills is the coolest climate in our Santa Barbara County appellation. For Syrah, cool climate equals pepper and bright red fruit. The nose of this wine shows aromas of black and white pepper that are equally expressive in the mouth. Look for notes of cassis, red plums, smoke and black licorice with a powdering of nutmeg. Drink this wine now or age it up to ten years.
