2018 Colson Canyon Rosé of Grenache

This is the third vintage of Tensley Rosé sourced from our very own Colson Canyon Vineyard. Like the “Lea” Rosé that came before it, the grapes for this wine were farmed specifically to be made into a vineyard-designated Rosé. This Rosé is 100 percent Grenache. The grapes were picked early in order to retain a fresh, bright acidity that nicely complements the fruit. The juice remained in contact with the skins for four hours, two hours less than last year’s Rosé. It was then pressed to neutral oak barrels where it aged for four months. This year’s Rosé is crisp and juicy with notes of rose petals on the nose and flavors of strawberry, guava and citrus. You can enjoy this Rosé right away or age it over the next couple of years.
