2019 Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (95 points, Jeb Dunnuck)

This is the second year we’ve produced the Sta. Rita Hills blend. After years of making Syrah from the Turner Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation, we have become big fans of Syrah grown in sandy soils in cooler climates. This wine shows jammy blackberry and raspberry fruits as well as a salty minerality and a dusting of white and black pepper. The mouthfeel is round, and the finish is long and lingering. You can drink this wine now or age it up to ten years.
