2019 Syrah “Noir” (100 points, Jeb Dunnuck)
The 2019 Noir is once again scoring accolades, and once again delivers. 40% of the grapes for this wine were sourced from the homegrown Tensley Vineyard, with its wonderful sun exposure, gentle slopes and sandy soils. 60% of the grapes were sourced from the rugged and extreme terrain of the highly praised Colson Canyon Vineyard. The Noir aged for 16 months in 60% new and 40% neutral oak barrels. The result is a beautiful blend of bright, fresh raspberry and cherry notes from the Tensley Vineyard and dark blackberry, plum, and smoked meats from the Colson Vineyard. The finish is long and lingering with lush tannins. Drink this wine now or age it up to 15 years.
