Clearly we enjoy this wine. Why would we bother with 50ish cases every year? I always say this wine reminds me more of a French Syrah than a California Syrah. The only thing that keeps this wine California is the texture and its inky color. It has amazing density and middle palate like a lot of Syrahs, but what sets it aside is its salty, peppery nose. It is so distinct. I do not need to say much more, smell it, taste it; you will see what I mean.
