2021 Turner Vineyard Syrah (Jeb Dunnuck 94-96 points)

We’ve been making this wine since 2005 and every year it delivers. Coming from one of the sandiest vineyards I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot) the wine always is about pepper, pepper, pepper! Rustic and hard to pick as a California Syrah in a blind tasting. It has weight, but it’s really about the nuance of saline, pepper and so many interesting flavors. The only negative is that we only made two barrels. Try this wine with spicy foods the pepper will really shine.
