2016 Camp 4 Blanc

This year’s Blanc is one of our most expressive to date. The nose is rich in notes of honeysuckle and orange blossoms while the texture is round, full and viscous. The Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for this blend come from continuous blocks in the Camp 4 vineyard. They are picked together and aged together in neutral French oak. The Blanc is bottled fairly quickly, in January, to retain freshness and acidity. We love to blend Grenache Blanc and Roussanne because of the unique flavor profile each varietal brings to the table. The Grenache Blanc offers up minerality and crisp, green-apple freshness while the Roussanne delivers luscious notes of pineapple, apricots and lemon curd. Pair this Blanc with spicy Thai dishes, sushi or chilled shellfish. Enjoy this wine now or age it over the next 3 to 4 years.
