This lush, fruit-driven, Marsanne (the first we’ve ever made) was planted in the sandy soil of a vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. 50% of the wine went into stainless tanks for a long, slow fermentation at 55 degrees in order to retain freshness and fruit. The other 50% was fermented in French oak barrels to add a deep, velvety texture. The resulting wine is rich, balanced, and brimming with notes of honey, apricot, and tangerine. Drink this wine now or age it over the next 7 years.
