All Blocks brings together fruit from every block of our two estate vineyards, Tensley Estate and Colson Canyon. Made up of 80% Grenache, 19% Syrah, and 1% Mourvèdre, the 2025 is full-bodied yet remarkably elegant, with silky tannins and a smooth, seamless texture. Grenache leads the way with generous layers of jammy raspberries, blackberries, and ripe fig, while Syrah adds depth, darker fruit, and savory spice. Aromas of new leather, herbes de Provence, and subtle cracked pepper unfold as the wine opens, with Mourvèdre adding just a touch of earthy complexity. Rich and expressive without feeling heavy, the palate carries its ripe fruit through a long, supple, savory finish. All Blocks has always been one of our most versatile reds at the table. There is enough fruit and richness to stand up to smoky barbecue, enough savory character for roasted meats and hearty dishes, and a silky, fruit-driven quality that can carry it all the way through to chocolate cake for dessert.
The 2025 BMT is a blend of 50% Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah, 25% Colson Canyon Grenache, and 25% Watch Hill Vineyard Petite Sirah. After first creating this blend in 2024, we loved what the combination of these three vineyards and varieties brought to the wine and decided to carry it forward into the 2025 vintage. The result is another powerful, beautifully balanced BMT with incredible depth and personality. This wine is named for my niece, Bailey Michelle Tensley, and like Bailey herself, it is elegant yet powerful. The Grenache brings a silky, velvety texture that balances the structure and intensity of the Syrah and Petite Sirah. Rich blackberry compote and layers of red, blue, and black fruit lead the palate, complemented by orange blossom, savory herbs, and a touch of caramelized sugar. A peppery, lingering finish gives the wine freshness and keeps all that richness in balance. BMT has the depth and structure to evolve beautifully for 20+ years, but with its generous fruit and polished texture, it is equally hard to resist right now. Whether you tuck a few bottles away in the cellar or open one around the table with friends and family, this is a wine made to be remembered.
The 2025 Colson Canyon Syrah beautifully captures everything we love about this vineyard—power, concentration, and unmistakable blue and purple fruit balanced by a deeply savory character. Ripe blueberries, blackberries, and black cherries lead the way, layered with violets and lavender, cracked pepper, wild herbs, and hints of smoked meat. As the wine opens, darker notes of anise, graphite, crushed rock, and dried black olive emerge, giving the wine an earthy, mineral complexity beneath all that generous fruit. The palate is powerful and concentrated, yet remarkably balanced, with structured tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, savory finish. Colson Canyon has always been a Syrah that is incredibly appealing in its youth, when the fruit is abundant and the texture is rich, but it has the structure and depth to evolve beautifully for 20 years or more. The 2025 is another classic expression of this special vineyard—bold, layered, and unmistakably Colson Canyon.
Our Clairette Blanche comes from the organically and biodynamically farmed Martian Vineyard in Los Alamos, one of the few sites in California planted to this rare Rhône variety. Clairette naturally retains beautiful freshness while developing generous fruit and texture, making it a perfect match for the style of white wine we love to make. The 2025 is rich and expressive from the first pour, with aromas of banana custard, ripe pear, peach, and melon layered with caramelized sugar and hints of toasted brioche. As the wine opens, delicate floral notes, citrus, and a subtle mineral character bring freshness to all that richness. The palate is full and velvety, with bright acidity carrying the fruit through a long, textured finish. We age this wine for just four months in 100% new oak—enough to build texture, richness, and those beautiful toasted notes without overwhelming the fruit or freshness of the Clairette. It continues to be one of my favorite and most distinctive white wines we make.
Nolan Vineyard Red Wine is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Petite Sirah from a newer vineyard just down the road from our winery in Los Alamos. The fruit comes from some of the highest and steepest blocks on the ranch, where the exposed hillside terrain produces wines with beautiful concentration, structure, and character. Dark and generous in the glass, the 2025 balances ripe fruit with the savory qualities that make this vineyard so distinctive. Layers of blackberry, blueberry, and dark plum are complemented by violets, cracked pepper, leather, and earthy herbs. The Mourvèdre brings a savory, rustic edge, while Petite Sirah adds depth and structure to the Syrah's abundant fruit. The palate is seamless and richly textured, with polished tannins carrying the dark fruit and spice through a long, savory finish. This vineyard continues to impress us with each vintage, producing a wine that delivers plenty of richness and fruit while maintaining the complexity and balance we look for in a great Santa Barbara County red.
The OGT is 100% Syrah, sourced from three vineyards that each bring something distinct to the wine: 50% Colson Canyon Vineyard, 25% Tensley Estate, and 25% Thompson Vineyard. Named after my son Oliver, this wine has always been about power, age-worthiness, and, of course, bringing friends and family together. Colson Canyon gives the wine its deep, inky color, concentrated dark fruit, and signature texture. Tensley Estate brings power, weight, and complexity, while Thompson Vineyard rounds out the blend with grace and finesse. Together, these sites create a Syrah that is both commanding and beautifully balanced. Deep aromas of stewed berries and blackberry are layered with roasted meats, tobacco, savory spice, and pepper. The palate is rich and concentrated, with incredible depth and structure leading into a long, savory finish. Built to evolve for years in the cellar, OGT has the power and complexity to age beautifully while still offering plenty to enjoy now.
The 2025 Santa Barbara County Syrah is, as always, a beautiful representation of the diverse vineyards we work with throughout the county. Sourced from five unique sites—some cool and fog-influenced, others warmer, dry, and windswept—the resulting wine brings together the distinctive microclimates and soils that make Santa Barbara County such an exciting place to grow Syrah. Blackberry jam and ripe raspberries lead the way, layered with violets, earthy native underbrush, and rich notes of chocolate and caramelized molasses. A savory, smoky quality reminiscent of slow-cooked BBQ ribs adds another dimension, followed by our signature peppery spice on the finish. Medium to full-bodied with ripe tannins and beautiful balance, the 2025 delivers generous fruit and richness while maintaining the freshness and savory character we look for in this wine. Year after year, this bottling is meant to capture the essence of Santa Barbara County Syrah, and the 2025 may just be one of our best yet.
Tensley Estate is especially meaningful to us, planted with my son, Oliver, right in our backyard in Los Olivos. This two-acre vineyard is carefully tended and benefits from abundant sunshine and sandy soils, producing a Syrah that continues to gain depth and character with each vintage. Medium to full-bodied, round, and supple, this vintage shows the richness and complexity we have come to love from the Estate. Ripe blackberries lead into savory layers of leather and smoky bacon fat, with our native pink peppercorns adding a distinctive spicy, floral lift. Richly textured yet beautifully balanced, the wine finishes long and savory, with plenty of structure to evolve in the cellar. This vineyard just keeps getting better every year, and this may be our best vintage yet.
